01Who can participate?
Anyone who can join in person in Vilnius can apply. This is an independent event, not an ISM-only event, and selected participants can come from any background.
02Is it free?
Yes. The hackathon is free for selected participants. Teams will also receive vibecoding credits, useful build tools, and partner drops as they are confirmed.
03Do I need a team?
You can apply and participate solo or with a team — there is no restriction. From our experience, teams of three tend to work best, so that is what we recommend. We are also hosting an optional founder matching session on November 8 at ISM University Main Hall to help selected participants meet potential co-founders and teammates.
04Can I use AI tools?
Yes. AI tools are part of the point. Use them to move faster, test more ideas, and turn the strongest concept into a working product.
05What are the judging criteria?
Projects are judged on four criteria:
- Technical ExecutionDoes it work, and does the build show real technical effort?
- Product DesignIs it easy to use and does it feel like a complete product, not just a tech demo?
- Potential ImpactDoes it solve a real problem for a clear group of people?
- OriginalityIs the idea creative and different from what already exists?
06When are demos due?
Teams submit a video demo by Saturday, November 14 at 20:00. Finalists present live on Sunday, November 15 starting at 12:00.
07Can international participants join?
Yes, international participants are welcome as long as they can attend in person. If you need help thinking through travel plans or accommodation, email hello@unfairweekend.com.
08How are participants selected?
Selection focuses most on your idea and motivation: what you want to build, why it matters, and how ready you are for an intensive in-person sprint.
