Unfair Weekend takes place in person at ISM University of Management and Economics, Gedimino pr. 7, Vilnius, Lithuania, on November 12–15, 2026. The event and international participant communication are in English.
This guide helps you plan the trip around the event. Participation is free for selected applicants; participants normally arrange and pay for their own travel and accommodation.
Confirm your place before committing to the trip
An application is not a confirmed place. The early application deadline is September 30, with results on October 2. The final deadline is October 28, with results on October 30. Wait for your selection result before committing to non-refundable travel, or choose arrangements you can change.
The hackathon runs from Thursday to Sunday. Check the current schedule when choosing arrival and departure times, and leave enough time for transfers and check-in. The optional founder-matching session on November 8 is separate from the four-day hackathon.
Getting to the venue
Save the address Gedimino pr. 7, Vilnius. ISM’s campus is on Gediminas Avenue in the city centre. See the event location and directions and ISM University’s official website for the venue.
From Vilnius Airport, public transport is one option for reaching the city. Use JUDU’s airport transport guide to choose a connection, then check the route to Gedimino pr. 7 for your actual arrival time. Timetables and fares can change before November.
There is also an airport rail connection to Vilnius Railway Station. The station is not the event venue: allow for the onward journey. Check Vilnius Airport’s train information and the linked rail operator for departures.
Choosing accommodation
Compare places by the journey to Gedimino pr. 7, cancellation terms and your total budget. A central location may make the daily trip simpler, but check the walking or public-transport route rather than relying on a listing’s “city centre” description.
If you share accommodation with teammates, agree the dates, room arrangement and payment responsibilities before booking. This guide does not imply a reserved room block or an accommodation subsidy. For practical suggestions, contact hello@unfairweekend.com.
Make a complete travel budget
- Return travel to Vilnius, including baggage or change fees where applicable.
- Accommodation for the nights you actually need, including any arrival buffer.
- Airport or station transfers and daily local transport.
- Meals and personal expenses outside the event’s confirmed provisions.
Check JUDU for current city transport information rather than budgeting from an old fare quoted in a travel post.
What to pack for the hackathon
Bring your laptop, charger, the adapters you need, headphones and access to your development tools. Check the weather before departure and pack for the journey between your accommodation and the venue. Keep your event confirmation and travel details available offline.

University support and the optional 6 ECTS course
Erasmus funding is not a condition of participation. If your university can support your trip, ask its international office about eligibility and required documentation before booking. ISM can discuss host documentation where relevant.
The four-day hackathon can be taken on its own. The optional Fundamentals of Digital Products Design course offers 6 ECTS subject to its requirements; your home institution decides whether and how to recognise them.
